Introducing Walker Meridian Press and Its Inaugural Memoir
For Such a Time as This: Leadership, Love & Service
Growing up in Southside, Central Kingston, Velma Ricketts Walker knew hunger and hardship. Her mother’s faith, her twin sister’s companionship and the practical kindness of others helped her pursue an education and imagine a different future.
In For Such a Time as This: Leadership, Love & Service, she recounts the choices that took her from banking and university to leading the Jamaica Customs Agency. Alongside the responsibilities of leadership came motherhood, marriage, grief and a deepening walk with Jesus Christ.
She writes candidly about rebuilding trust within a team, leading through crisis and the worries hidden behind a confident public presence. Now Founder and CEO of Walker Meridian Advisory Limited, she reflects on the relationships and convictions she carries into a new season of service.
Published by Walker Meridian Press, an imprint of Walker Meridian Advisory Limited.
The ebook is scheduled for release on 1 December 2026. A paperback edition is in preparation. Details of other formats will be announced when confirmed.
